"Friendly Rivalry" Lee Hyeri and Chung Su-bin won the "Best Couple" award.
On the 29th afternoon at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Art Hall 1 in Seoul, the 11th APAN Star Awards (2025 Seoul Con APAN Star Awards) was held. The 2025 APAN Star Awards, hosted by actor Kim Seungwoo and broadcaster Park Sun-young, is the only integrated drama awards ceremony in Korea that covers content across all channels including terrestrial broadcasters, comprehensive programming channels, cable, OTT and web dramas.
For the best couple award, Lee Hyeri and Chung Su-bin, who sparked huge attention with a shocking kiss scene in "Friendly Rivalry," were listed. Chung Su-bin, who accepted the trophy alone on behalf of Lee Hyeri, who could not attend the ceremony, expressed her joy, saying, "Hyeri unnie, I received the award thanks to you!"
She said, "I truly think of this as an award given by the fans as the senior mentioned earlier, and I am sincerely very grateful, and I am truly grateful to everyone who loved the work 'Friendly Rivalry' so much throughout this year. I feel every time how much the hard work of many people is contained in one work. I am really sincerely grateful to all the family members of 'Friendly Rivalry' who worked together, and I think being able to work in such a good environment now is all thanks to the wonderful seniors. I also want to be a senior who does not cause trouble to others in the future," she said in her remarks.
She added a message of thanks to fans, saying, "I want to tell many adults and many seniors in Korea that it was a very hardworking year and I hope you have a warm year-end. Thank you. Thank you, Bingsus!"
