Actor Lee Si-young apologized directly for the controversy that she caused a disturbance at a campsite late at night and inconvenienced nearby guests, saying, "I'm sorry to those who were uncomfortable."
On the 29th, a post titled "A workshop group (actor Lee Si-young) came to the site next to us," which was posted on a camping café on the 22nd, spread on an online community. Writer A, who said the person visited a campsite in Yangpyeong County, Gyeonggi, claimed that Lee Si-young's party used four sites and caused trouble late into the night.
A said, "Several cars were coming and going, and they gathered in one tent and held an event using a microphone," adding, "The 11 p.m. quiet hours and the no-vehicle-movement rule were of no use." A continued, "Many people poked around the tents and played a treasure hunt game, and my family, who came with a 5-year-old child, was under great stress."
As the controversy grew, Lee Si-young posted an apology on her Instagram that day. While apologizing by saying, "I'm sorry to those who were uncomfortable at the campsite," Lee explained, "I went late in the afternoon because of my second child, and after a few hours I went home first, so I didn't know the details."
She also bowed her head, saying, "I heard from the campsite owner that our group was the only reservation that day, so I thought it was just us, but upon checking, I heard another team came in the evening," and "I also think quiet hours are very important. I'm sorry again."
Meanwhile, Lee Si-young released her divorce in March after eight years of marriage and is raising her child alone. In July, she drew attention by revealing that she became pregnant with her second child by implanting a frozen embryo without her ex-husband's consent.
At the time, she said, "Ahead of the disposal point for the frozen embryo, I decided to proceed with the implantation, and I will fully bear the weight of the decision I made." Lee Si-young gave birth to a daughter on Nov. 4, and her ex-husband also said he "will fulfill his responsibilities as a father."
