Actors Ko Kyu-phil, Yoon Kyung-ho, Kim Shin-rock and Oh Na-ra won acting awards at the APAN Star Awards.
On the 29th in the afternoon at Seoul Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Art Hall 1, the 11th APAN Star Awards (2025 Seoul-con APAN Star Awards) was held. The 2025 APAN Star Awards, hosted by actor Kim Seungwoo and broadcaster Park Sun-young, is the only integrated domestic drama awards ceremony that covers all channels' content, including terrestrial, comprehensive programming, cable, OTT and web dramas.
That day the male acting awards went to Ko Kyu-phil for Genie, Make a Wish and Twelve, and Yoon Kyung-ho for The Trauma Code: Heroes on call. Ko Kyu-phil said, I want to thank God for letting me receive an award at such a wonderful event. I played Seid in Genie, Make a Wish and Doni in Twelve. Both are animals. They are not human roles. Anyway, there may have been uncomfortable or difficult parts in portraying them, but the staff and fellow actors who worked with me praised me a lot and cheered me on, so I think I was able to film well and receive this award, he said.
He added, There are only a few days left in the year, and I am really grateful you gave me this award so I can finish the year on such a good note. I will work harder next year and show many fun performances in human roles. I dedicate this award to my wife, who always struggles for me and supports me at home, he said.
Yoon Kyung-ho said, Actually, earlier this year The Trauma Code: Heroes on call received so much love that I felt as if I had already received an award. But I am so grateful to receive this honorable award at the end of the year. I have always been far from awards. Knowing how meaningful it is to receive one, I have lived thinking that even if I never receive such an award, I would be happy if I could live off acting, and I lived with that resolve, he said, showing emotion. He said, That's because I know there are many talented people who, even without opportunities, quietly work hard at their acting, and I know how big a chance is needed to receive such an award. A work must be loved, the role must be loved, and you must be chosen among strong contenders — isn't that truly a miraculous thing? I am so thankful to the family of The Trauma Code: Heroes on call who made that miracle happen, he said, expressing heartfelt gratitude.
He said, I thank original author Hansan-yi, teacher, writer Choi Tae-kang, director Lee Do-yoon, Ha-young and many colleagues and seniors and juniors including Baek Gang-hyeok Ju Jihoon, Jeong Jae-kwang and Choo Young-Woo who believed in me as Han Yu-rim and worked with me, and the staff; thank you to Studio N who helped make this work from the hot summer through the winter, and above all thank you to Netflix for helping it reach Korea and the world. The female acting awards went to Kim Shin-rock for Undercover High School and Tastefully Yours, and Oh Na-ra for Villains Everywhere and The Nice Guy. Kim Shin-rock said, I am grateful and happy that I can make a living through acting, and I am very thankful to be invited to this great event and receive an award. I thank the people involved in Undercover High School who made it possible for me to stand here, all the viewers who loved the drama, and all the viewers who watched and helped make Tastefully Yours. It is meaningful and fun to be here with actors who appeared across all channels. I hope we can work together again in another drama. He cried and said, I never imagined I would work at the center of the popular culture and arts industry, and I am so grateful and happy to be able to do this. Oh Na-ra said, My parents told me they were happy this year because our daughter appeared on TV a lot. The same is probably true for other actors. Showing your face on TV often while acting feels like filial piety. Parents who cannot visit often are happy when they see you working hard on TV, aren't they? I was lucky this year to do many works and be able to show filial piety to my parents, she said. She added, Two works were mentioned; one was a project I really wanted to do. I wrote the project's name on the vanity mirror where it is most visible and prayed every day that I could do it. The other was a project to which I devoted myself without holding back more than any other I've done, I poured all my passion into it. I am very grateful to the organizers and judges who recognized that passion and gave me this wonderful award. I will meet many good projects next year to show filial piety to my parents and burn my body with passion. Thank you very much, she said.
