Actor Lee Sun-bin received the honor of the female excellence award.
On the 30th broadcast of the 2025 MBC Drama Awards, Kim Sung-Ju and actor Lee Sun-bin served as MCs, and for the mini-series institutional sector male and female excellence awards, Lee Jong-won and Chae Soo-bin appeared as presenters.
That day the female nominees in the institutional sector were Roh Jeong-Eui from Crushology 101, Ra Miran from To the Moon, Seorina from Oh My Ghost Clients, and Lee Sun-bin from To the Moon. The award winner was Lee Sun-bin.
Lee Sun-bin said, "Honestly, I really, not a hollow word, I really didn't expect this at all, so I couldn't prepare anything. I was actually preparing the script for the next thing. I don't know if I deserve to be standing here now," and could not hide her surprise.
She continued, "I received a rookie award for Missing Nine, and eight years later I'm receiving an undeserved award; I'm very, very grateful. To the Moon was honestly the most physically demanding project of my life. But I shared more than that in my heart. It's a work in which I shared so much with all the actors, including sister Miran. I was so unprepared that I can't think of the names of the people I should thank. I will contact them separately to convey my thanks," she said with a laugh.
She added, "I wanted to say thank you to the loving CEO who has always been with me for 10 years, letting me, who still has many shortcomings, work like this together. And I'm very grateful to the teachers who make me look pretty even when I'm clumsy today. My family—who are probably watching at home—my mother, father and older brother. I know the family didn't expect this either. I want to say thank you for always believing in me, cheering for me and supporting me."
Finally she said, "And lastly, Haekongies. When I won the rookie award I couldn't mention Haekongies. After that I thought that someday if I came to an awards ceremony and won an award I would be able to say thank you, and it took eight years. Thank you for always supporting me. I love you more, and I have many apologies," she said, expressing gratitude to her fans and adding, "Thank you for giving me this award, and I will work harder and remain an actor who does not lose her initial resolve. Thank you."
