The 2025 MBC Entertainment Awards, broadcast on the 29th, was originally scheduled to be hosted by three MCs: Jun Hyun-moo, Jang Doyoun and Key. However, Key stepped down from the MC role after suspending activities following his disclosure of comedian Park Narae's medical fraud victim, known as the 'injection aunt,' so the ceremony proceeded with two MCs, Jun Hyun-moo and Jang Doyoun.
The women's best entertainer award that day went to Ok Ja-yeon of I Live Alone. Ok Ja-yeon said she was surprised, saying, "I wasn't on the rookie award shortlist so I was relieved, but I was suddenly given a big award," and expressed gratitude, saying, "I'm grateful to the production team and my family who always make the studio warm."
Next, the women's grand prize went to Kim Sook. Kim Sook thanked members of Omniscient Interfering View and Save Me! Homes in turn. The producer's special award went to Lee Yoon-seok of Masked Singer. Lee Yoon-seok said with a smile, "I didn't have a desire to receive an award, but they told me to come every year, so I kept coming until they gave it to me. He went on to thank everyone, saying, "I really owe a lot to all the production staff."
He also expressed affection for his colleagues. He said, "My rookie award in life is my son, my top excellence award and best choice is my wife, and the life grand prize is my mother," and added, "Mother, I dedicate this award to you. Being born as your son is the greatest award," earning applause. Finally he cheerfully said, "This is really the end now. See you in 10 years," and the cast added laughter, calling him "an icon of persistence."
