Silica Gel, which successfully completed its solo concert tour in Japan, is actively maintaining connections with local fans.
Silica Gel on the 29th released a live video of its recently released new song "BIG VOID (Big Void)" through Japan's leading music YouTube channel THE FIRST TAKE.
"BIG VOID" was first presented at Silica Gel's largest solo concert in its career, "Syn.THE.Size X," held at Ilsan KINTEX in August, and drew fans' attention even before its official release, receiving assessments as a musical attempt toward a new change.
Earlier, Silica Gel became the first all-Korean-member male band to appear on THE FIRST TAKE, presenting a live stage of the signature song "NO PAIN (No Pain)." The video quickly spread across major social networks after its release and generated buzz, reaffirming Silica Gel's solid live performance competitiveness with enthusiastic responses not only in Korea but also among Japanese fans.
In an interview video released along with the live footage, guitarist Kim Chunchu said, "Taking part in THE FIRST TAKE has given us the opportunity to continue sharing various performances and new music in Japan with local fans," expressing expectations and aspirations for upcoming activities in Japan. Through this reappearance, Silica Gel made clear its intention to steadily expand its points of contact with local fans beyond simply releasing content.
Earlier, Silica Gel successfully concluded its solo concert tour "Syn.THE.Size X Japan Tour 2025" in Osaka and Tokyo on the 22nd and 23rd. The tour reinterpreted the stage production of the August Korea concerts to suit the Japanese venues, drawing strong responses from audiences through staging tailored to each venue and high-intensity live performances. In particular, the Tokyo show sold out all seats on the first day of ticket sales, and on the day of the performance many figures from the Japanese music industry and musicians attended to watch Silica Gel's stage firsthand.
Meanwhile, Silica Gel is scheduled to appear at the "Countdown Fantasy 2025-2026" festival held at Ilsan KINTEX on the 31st, where they will present a New Year's countdown stage along with on-site events. Through this series of activities, culminating in the Japan tour and the THE FIRST TAKE appearance, Silica Gel plans to continue variously connecting with fans up to the final moments of 2025.
