Dating rumors between national fencing athlete Oh Sang-wook and Japanese-Korean mixed-race model Haruka Toyoda have resurfaced. Contrary to Oh Sang-wook's earlier remark on a broadcast that "I don't have a girlfriend," recent circumstances surrounding social media have again drawn attention.
Previously, Oh Sang-wook had effectively denied the dating rumors on the March broadcast of Hangout With Yoo. At that time, on the 'My friend's table' special, Oh Sang-wook filmed in Daejeon with Yu Jae-seok, Haha, Joo Woo-jae, Lee Yi-kyung, Lee Mi-joo and Park Jin-joo.

But recently the spark was reignited. The trigger was social media posts by the two released around Christmas. Oh Sang-wook posted on his social media, "Have a warm Christmas," along with photos taken at a cafe. The cozy scene of him sitting on a brown-colored sofa drinking a beverage drew attention.
Then on the 28th, Haruka Toyoda posted several photos with the caption "Jeju Christmas." Because the cafe interior and the brown sofa in the published photos looked similar to Oh Sang-wook's photos, speculation arose that the two may have been in the same place. In particular, among the photos were a paper with Oh Sang-wook's autograph, a shadowed photo reminiscent of a couple's atmosphere, and an image that appeared to show a man's hand wearing a ring, which fueled the dating rumors again.
The two were already embroiled in dating rumors once last September. At that time, exchanges of social media likes and comments and mutual following between Oh Sang-wook's family and Haruka Toyoda drew attention, but neither side issued an official statement.
Afterward, Oh Sang-wook directly drew a line on a broadcast, saying "I currently don't have a girlfriend," but interest in the relationship between the two has grown again due to social media circumstances captured around this Christmas period. On the broadcast Oh Sang-wook said he was "single." However, with repeated circumstantial evidence being spotted, attention is focused on whether he will remain silent again or clarify his position.
