Fencing national team member Oh Sang-wook and Japan-Korea mixed-heritage model Haruka Toyoda's dating rumors have resurfaced once again.
The catalyst was social media posts released around Christmas. Oh Sang-wook recently posted on his social media, saying "Have a warm Christmas," along with a photo taken at a café. Sitting on a brown-colored sofa, he was drinking a warm beverage, and the cozy atmosphere drew attention.
Later, on the 28th, Haruka Toyoda posted several photos on her social media with the caption "Jeju Christmas." In the released photos, the café interior similar to the one Oh Sang-wook had earlier revealed and a brown sofa that appeared to be the same drew interest. That is why speculation continued that the two people's photos had been taken in the same space.
In particular, among the photos Haruka Toyoda released, a piece of paper with Oh Sang-wook's autograph was captured, attracting attention. Added to this were a shadow photo that evoked a romantic atmosphere and an image showing a man's hand wearing a ring, which fanned the dating rumors anew.
The two were already caught up in dating rumors once in September last year. At the time, interest grew when they liked and commented on each other's social media posts and it became known that Oh Sang-wook's family and Haruka Toyoda followed each other. However, both sides did not express a separate position regarding the dating rumors at that time either.
Afterward, Oh Sang-wook drew a line by saying on a broadcast that "I currently do not have a girlfriend." But interest in the relationship between the two has risen again due to the social media circumstances spotted around this Christmas period.
Meanwhile, Oh Sang-wook is the athlete who became Korea's first two-time Olympic champion in fencing by winning team sabre gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and sweeping the individual and team events at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He has since expanded his public recognition by appearing on entertainment programs. Haruka Toyoda is a Japan-Korea mixed-heritage model who is four years younger than Oh Sang-wook.
