'2025 SBS Entertainment Awards' saw actor Jeong I-rang's parody act with 100% synchronicity turn the awards hall into a sea of laughter.
The broadcast on the 30th of the 2025 SBS Entertainment Awards featured Jeong I-rang dressed in singer Hwasa's 'Hwana' concept and Yang Se-chan transforming into actor Park Jeongmin to reenact the talked-about awards show performance.
Unlike the original's serious tone, the two concluded not with 'goodbye' but with 'gukbap', delivering an unexpected twist that provoked loud laughter. On stage Jeong I-rang joked, "I can see Hwasa," "I'm worried about being sued," and "I'm sorry for the year-end," adding, "I even cut my hair to get the Hwasa vibe. The passion was real," which added to the laughs. In particular, her perfect facial expressions and gestures drew reactions of '100% synchronicity.'
Next, the 'challenge of the year' award was announced, and Heo Kyunghwan, Lim Won-hee and Kim Seung-soo of My Little Old Boy shared the honor as joint winners.
Lim Won-hee said, "After 'My Little Old Boy' and the recent end of 'Dolsing Four Men,' I think this is an award I earned by working hard," and added, "I will continue to challenge myself even harder." Kim Seung-soo said, "I tried many challenges through 'My Little Old Boy'," and vowed, "I will try anything earnestly regardless of age." Heo Kyunghwan also said, "It's a shame that the big prize seemed to fly away, but I received an award I didn't expect," and expressed, "I will take on another great challenge with my brothers."
That day, Jeong I-rang's bold Hwasa parody performance and the winners' sincere remarks tied together by the keyword 'challenge' delivered both laughter and empathy, heating up the awards show's atmosphere.
