EXO's special online and offline promotion has fueled anticipation for their new-year comeback.
EXO, ahead of the Jan. 19 release of their eighth full-length album 'REVERXE' (Reverse), began with a cinematic trailer based on the story universe and, at the fan meeting and 'MMA 2025', respectively premiered the new songs 'I'm Home' (I'm Home) and 'Back It Up' (Back It Up) for the first time, drawing attention, and subsequent promotions have also attracted interest.
In particular, after business cards with codes were placed near Gocheok Sky Dome, where the 'MMA' was held, and near the SM building, on the 26th mysterious 'black cloak squads' appeared across streets in Gangnam, Seongsu, Euljiro and Hongdae and were spotted wearing outfits bearing the logo of the eighth full-length album 'REVERXE' and EXO's team slogan 'WE ARE ONE' (We Are One).
Many people who happened upon the black cloak squads that day showed curiosity, took verification photos and followed the procession, which drew attention, and on EXO's official SNS account, short-form content and universe images themed on the black cloak squads were released sequentially, offering the enjoyment of interpreting their meaning.
Also on the 29th, EXO's official X (formerly Twitter) account opened a 'mystery quiz' to help understanding of the story universe in the eighth full-length album 'REVERXE', and fans around the world have shown explosive interest by voluntarily sharing their own deduction methods and finding answers together.
Meanwhile, EXO's eighth full-length album 'REVERXE' will be available in full on various music sites at 6 p.m. on Jan. 19.
