ADOR will file a claim for liquidated damages and compensation against Danielle.
ADOR told OSEN on the 29th, "We notified Danielle this morning of the termination of the exclusive contract and plan to file a claim for liquidated damages and compensation today."
ADOR explained the reason for terminating Danielle's exclusive contract, "It is difficult to provide specific details because legal procedures will follow, but acts violating the exclusive contract occurred, such as entering into a contract that conflicts with the exclusive contract, conducting independent entertainment activities, or damaging the reputation or credit of the company and NewJeans. We demanded corrective action, but since it was not made within the deadline, we notified the termination."
Regarding the liquidated damages and compensation against Danielle, ADOR said, "It is difficult to disclose the specific compensation amount, but the liquidated damages will follow the formula already specified in the exclusive contract."
Meanwhile, ADOR disclosed the progress of discussions with NewJeans members that morning. ADOR said, "Hanni visited Korea with her family and had an in-depth, lengthy conversation with ADOR. In the process, they revisited past events and took time to view the matter objectively. After an honest discussion, Hanni decided to respect the court's ruling and stay with ADOR."
Min-ji is also in discussions after talking with ADOR. But regarding Danielle, ADOR emphasized, "In Danielle's case, we judged that it is difficult for her to continue as a member of NewJeans and an ADOR artist, so the company notified the termination of the exclusive contract today. In addition, we will seek legal responsibility for one member of Danielle's family who bears significant responsibility for causing this dispute and for the delay in NewJeans' return, and for former CEO Min Hee-jin."
Finally, "During the conversations, ADOR learned that the members had long been exposed to distorted and biased information, which led to many misunderstandings about the company and escalated into a dispute. The company and the artists agreed that recovering the love of fans and the public will require a process to completely dispel misunderstandings based on accurate facts, even if it takes some time. ADOR also said it will have an opportunity to speak later about various controversies that arose during the dispute process and is discussing the timing and method."
