Harpist and singer-songwriter Shim So-jung will release her winter single "Winter Blossom" at noon on the 29th.
Winter Blossom is a song born from inspiration from the "Waltz of the Flowers" in Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker, and it is a work that reinterprets the sensibility of classical melodies with modern sounds and emotive vocals.
It musically captures the calm air of winter and the emotions that quietly bloom within it.
Throughout the song, Shim So-jung's primary instrument, the harp, is delicately placed, and by maintaining a melody-centered structure over string-focused orchestration, it completes a dreamy yet accessible flow. It begins quietly and develops as if emotions slowly spread, leaving a deep aftertaste.
Shim So-jung said, "I felt that winter is not an end but a season preparing for another beginning. I captured the moments of the heart that quietly bloom even in the cold air."
Based on her classical training, Winter Blossom, which combines delicate musicality with indie pop sensibility, is a work that expands another facet of the musical world Shim So-jung is building.
Since the recent EP release, she has been continuously active with a steady pace by presenting singles in succession and through performances and content activities.
The new song "Winter Blossom" will be released at noon on the 29th through various music platforms.<
