ADOR on the 29th said, "After the court ruling confirming the validity of the exclusive contract was finalized, ADOR has had many conversations with Min-ji, Hanni, Danielle and the families of the three members," and shared the status of consultations with NewJeans members including Min-ji, Hanni and Danielle, in addition to Haerin and Hye-in, who had earlier confirmed their return.
Regarding Hanni, the agency said, "Hanni visited Korea with her family and had lengthy, in-depth conversations with ADOR. In that process, they reviewed past events and took time to view the matters objectively. After sincere talks, Hanni decided to respect the court's ruling and to remain with ADOR."
It added, "Min-ji is also in talks with ADOR, and discussions are ongoing to broaden mutual understanding."
However, Danielle's contract was terminated. ADOR emphasized, "In Danielle's case, we judged that it would be difficult for her to continue as a NewJeans member and an ADOR artist, and today we notified her of termination of the exclusive contract. In addition, we plan to hold legally accountable one member of Danielle's family who bears significant responsibility for causing this dispute and for the departure and delayed return of NewJeans, as well as former CEO Min Hee-jin."
Especially, ADOR said, "We plan to file a complaint today seeking liquidated damages and compensation from Danielle," adding, "It is difficult to provide details because legal procedures will proceed later, but actions constituting breach of the exclusive contract occurred, such as entering into contracts that conflict with the exclusive contract, pursuing independent entertainment activities, or damaging the reputation or credit of our company and NewJeans. We demanded corrective action, but when corrections were not made within the deadline, we notified termination."
With this, Danielle has effectively been expelled from NewJeans, and that day images of Danielle participating in briquette volunteer work were released, drawing attention.
On the 29th, a post on an online community said, "I just volunteered at the briquette drive with Danielle."
The post author said, "For two hours she was a volunteer who worked really hard carrying and moving things and was a reliable team member. After the volunteer work ended she handed out cookies and chocolate, accepted all photo requests, smiled and signed autographs, and showed no sign that she was anyone famous, so I didn't know," and said they would support her going forward.
