Hanni of the group NewJeans has decided to continue activities with ADOR, following Haerin and Hye-in. Min-ji is also continuing discussions with ADOR, but Danielle ultimately received notice of the termination of her exclusive contract and is leaving the team.
ADOR announced on the 29th through an official statement, "After the court finalized the ruling confirming the validity of the exclusive contract, we have had in-depth conversations with the members and their families," and revealed each member's next steps.
After recent talks with her family and ADOR, Hanni agreed to respect the court's ruling and continue with ADOR. Min-ji, the team's oldest member, is currently continuing discussions with ADOR to broaden mutual understanding.
However, Danielle can no longer be with ADOR. ADOR said, "We determined that it would be difficult to continue with Danielle as an artist and notified her today of the termination of her exclusive contract," and added, "We will hold one of Danielle's family members and former CEO Min Hee-jin legally accountable, as we judge them responsible for this dispute and the member's departure."
ADOR said that through this round of talks, it confirmed the members had long harbored major misunderstandings about the company due to distorted information. The company and the members agreed that, even if it takes time, it is important to resolve misunderstandings based on accurate facts in order to regain fans' support.
ADOR also plans to create an opportunity to explain in detail the various controversies that arose during the dispute at a later date. ADOR said, "We will do our utmost to bring this matter to an amicable close and to help NewJeans return to fans as soon as possible."
