Actor Kang Hanna completed a quiet but deeply lingering romance.
Kang Hanna appeared in "Soundtrack not of this world," a series in the KBS2TV one-act project 'Love: Track' that aired on the 28th, delivering a performance that delicately portrayed the character's inner life and captured attention.
'Love: Track' is a romance anthology containing 10 love stories of different shapes, and 'Soundtrack not of this world,' in which Kang Hanna appears, is a work that depicts the process by which two people who share their hearts only through writing and music over a fictional piece of music in a novel gradually become each other's everyday life. In the drama, Kang Hanna played Jeong Ji-eum, a former novelist who now lives as a landscape gardener.
Ji-eum was once the author of the novel "A very old first love," but now she has put down writing and is shown living a quiet life as a landscape gardener. Ji-eum receives an email from a college student, Yu Sin (Kim Min-kyu), saying he wants to try making music from the novel, and the two gradually grow closer as they exchange emails and video calls about movies, music and love without knowing each other's names or faces.
After exchanging messenger IDs, the two meet in person and portray the excitement of a couple just beginning a romance. The story leaves a gentle aftertaste as it shows the change of confronting the self they had forgotten and taking a step forward.
Kang Hanna added realism to the character by capturing without exaggeration Ji-eum's gaps as a writer and the moments when the feelings of love awaken. Through the process that moves from email to video call to an actual meeting, Kang Hanna conveyed the textures of emotion with natural acting and calmly depicted the process of coming to believe in love, including the fluttering, fresh feelings before the first meeting. She delivered an impressive romantic performance by subtly expressing the warmth of a character at the beginning stage of love.
In particular, Kang Hanna created a quiet yet thrilling atmosphere through restrained narration and built the narrative layer by layer. With perfect diction, she led the drama's emotional line with a calm, deep voice.
Meanwhile, Kang Hanna proved her acting skills following tvN's "The Tyrant," which ended in September, and the Netflix series "Cashero," released on the 26th, earning glowing reviews from viewers. Attention is focused on Kang Hanna's activities as she continues active work across diverse genres.
