Actor Lee Si-young and her acquaintances have been accused of causing discomfort at a campsite due to noise and other issues.
Recently, on an online camping community board, a user identified as A, who said they used a campsite near Jungwon Valley in Yangpyeong on the 22nd, posted a long message to a camping-related cafe saying "a workshop group (actor Lee Si-young) visited the campsite" and complained of harm.
According to A, the group used several adjacent sites, arrived with multiple vehicles, played music through speakers, and continued a freewheeling atmosphere including walking around the campsite without shirts. A described it as "the campsite was no longer a campsite but more like a workshop or a college student retreat village."
The main problem, they said, was noise during nighttime hours. A said, "They used a microphone to run games, and an event continued in which participants listened to the intro of a song and guessed the title," and explained, "The host's voice and the screams of people shouting answers could be heard vividly inside the tent." A also added that the campsite's manners time and vehicle movement ban rules were effectively not observed.
A also criticized poor campsite management. He said, "The manager did not immediately intervene, and the event only finished close to midnight," and lamented, "A family that came with a 5-year-old child experienced extreme stress." He said the campsite owner apologized the next day, but afterward music playback via Bluetooth speakers and group activities continued.
On the following day, a treasure hunt game was held throughout the campsite, and some participants even carried out what appeared to be a punishment-style immersion ceremony, so the noise continued. Ultimately, A's family decided to leave early, citing mental burden.
The post drew comments from another user who said they had used the campsite the same day. Identifying themselves as "a couple who checked in late in the afternoon," the user said, "The same noise repeated on the second night," and claimed, "During the treasure hunt they went through all areas of the campsite, and trash was not properly cleaned up."
The user pointed out, "Even if the actor herself did not directly engage in problematic behavior, those associated with her need to recognize that such actions can damage the actor's image."
While the exact facts have not been confirmed, Lee Si-young posted photos taken at the campsite in that area on her personal social media about six days ago, prompting various interpretations among some netizens.
