'Extreme 84' Kian84 suffered from a hangover while running.
On the 28th episode of the MBC variety show 'Extreme 84,' Kian84, who entered the Médoc Marathon in France, was shown expressing regret and self-blame.
That day Kian84, from immediately after the start, stiffly ignored the festival atmosphere of wine, music and performances and began running raising his pace solely for the record.
While everyone else was enjoying themselves, he alone could not enjoy it. Kian84 said, "To be honest, I was embarrassed even in Africa. About the ranking too. My ranking was in the lower middle. 'Is this all I can run?'" and added, "That day I regretted that it would have been better if I hadn't drunk the day before. I'm honestly not regretful that I couldn't enjoy it, but I regretted drinking. Rather," he blamed himself.
He could not see the beautiful scenery of Bordeaux and ran like a racehorse looking only at the ground, but as time passed the heat worsened and dehydration, thirst and muscle cramps compounded, and he began to experience a crisis.
While Kwon Hwa Woon enjoyed the festival atmosphere of the Médoc Marathon, Kian84 quietly focused on running as he passed the 25km mark. But as time went on, the heat intensified and symptoms of dehydration and thirst also appeared.
Sensing the crisis, Kian84 said, "My body is shutting down. It shouldn't already be like this," and searched for water but lamented the appearing wine water stations one after another. About this he said, "Hangover, I'm dizzy. The sunlight is hot. The sky is spinning. It's hell. But if you look there they are giving out alcohol again. I couldn't even stand to look at the wine."
After struggling to drink water he took up running again, but this time his legs would not obey. He expressed frustration, saying, "I'm already completely wiped out; it's always like this no matter how I train," but muscle cramps came and he faced the worst situation.
Kian84 said, "The cramp is coming for the first time. I felt like I might not even be able to finish regardless of the record," showing regret for drinking the day before. And as he continued running, he ultimately collapsed at the 31km mark.
Kian84 said, "I had already given up on the record and wasn't sure I could finish," and voiced, "Like a car that breaks down shortly after the engine starts, I faltered quickly. Even if you package it as a festival, it's a marathon. It's a continuous series of pain and limits."
He added, "I am embarrassed at myself for not wanting to lose to the new member Tsuki. It feels like being judged for how hard I have lived up to now on a journey to the afterlife," and added, "X hell."
After lying on the ground for a while, Kian84 ate two oranges for the first time at a winery booth, barely regained his strength, got up again and resolved to finish.
He ran with his shirt off in earnest, but his condition did not improve. Beating his chest in frustration, he explained, "It's hot and dizzy; my stomach is nauseous and stuffy and irritating and the nausea wouldn't stop. That was the hardest part."
Stopping again, Kian84 eventually vomited, and in the following preview the crises of Kian84, Kwon Hwa Woon and Tsuki were depicted, raising curiosity.<
