'Spring Fever' director Park Won-guk expressed a wish to surpass his previous work 'Marry My Husband'.
On the afternoon of the 29th, the online production presentation for tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Spring Fever', held as an online live broadcast, was attended by director Park Won-guk, actor Ahn Bo-hyun, Lee Joo-been and others, who discussed the project.
'Spring Fever' (directed by Park Won-guk / written by Kim A-jung / planned by CJ ENM STUDIOS / produced by Bon Factory) is a hot pink romance of spring days that will melt the frozen hearts of teacher Yoon Bom (played by Lee Joo-been), who feels the chilly wind blowing, and the man with a burning heart, Seon Jae-gyu (played by Ahn Bo-hyun).
'Spring Fever', based on the popular web novel of the same name, is raising expectations as director Park Won-guk, who was recognized for trendy directing through 'Marry My Husband' and 'Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist', teams up with writer Kim A-jung, who showed the essence of romantic comedy with 'Love on First Sight'. In addition, reliable trending actor Ahn Bo-hyun and rising rom-com star Lee Joo-been have joined.
Director Park Won-guk said, The script was so fun. The character Seon Jae-gyu that unfolds in the script dismantles all previous drama grammar. He is a character that shows what true coolness is and what true comedy is. The script was so fun that I felt I definitely wanted to direct it. I focused on directing it to capture a specialness that exceeds expectations.
Director Park, who received great love for his previous work 'Marry My Husband', said with a laugh, 'Marry My Husband' received such great love that I could no longer be satisfied with ordinary love. While preparing this work, I set a goal to receive even greater love that surpasses 'Marry My Husband'.
He added, When filming, the things I think about are don't force emotion and don't force laughter. I believed it was important to be a half beat ahead and trust the actors and capture them well on camera, so I approached the shoot with the mindset of trusting the two actors.
Meanwhile, tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Spring Fever' will first air on Jan. 5, 2026 (Mon) at 8:50 p.m.
