Actress Choi Jung-yoon candidly shared realistic concerns she feels as an actress in her 40s.
On the 27th, a video titled "Three actresses went away, and this happened in Yeongdeok" was released on the YouTube channel 'PDC by PDC'. The video showed Choi Jung-yoon traveling with actress Park Jin Hee and Yoon So-i.
That day Choi Jung-yoon first shared her recent news. She said "It has been about six months since I opened my YouTube channel, and it suits my personality so I'm enjoying it," and said, "I'm also doing childcare." Choi Jung-yoon has been raising her daughter alone since her divorce in 2022.
The three naturally talked about age during their meal. Park Jin Hee said, "We met in our early 20s, and I didn't know time would pass so quickly. I never imagined I would be 47," and Choi Jung-yoon agreed, saying, "I never thought I would be in my 40s."
In particular, Choi Jung-yoon honestly voiced the anxiety she feels as an actress. She said, "As you get older, the range of roles narrows quickly," and added, "Of course there are actors who are chosen within that, but on average it's a very ambiguous age." She went on to say, "So sometimes I even think I want to age faster. Maybe something would change then."
However, she drew a line, saying she does not want to go back to her 20s. Choi Jung-yoon said, "If you tell me to go back to my 20s, I would never go back. I don't want to repeat the time I've already lived," and said, "If then youth itself was beautiful, now there seems to be a different kind of beauty."
Park Jin Hee also calmly shared her thoughts, saying, "To be realistic, I did not become a top star. Even if that position had been given to me, I don't think I could have maintained it."
Meanwhile, Choi Jung-yoon married in 2011 and has a daughter, and since her divorce in 2022 she has been balancing childcare and broadcasting activities. Recently she has been steadily sharing her daily life and thoughts through her personal YouTube channel.<
