My Little Old Boy actor Park Geun-hyung expressed deep longing for his lifelong colleague and eternal "big brother," the late Lee Soon-jae.
On the 28th episode aired on SBS My Little Old Boy (hereafter "My Little Old Boy"), Park Geun-hyung, the eternal youngest and romantic of the "flower grandpas," appeared as a special MC.
Park Geun-hyung conveyed a heavy heart over the recent death of Lee Soon-jae. He said, "We shared hardships and joys together for decades. My heart hurts so much," and added, "All the younger colleagues are thinking a lot about what senior did for us and are longing for him."
In particular, Park Geun-hyung recalled the deep friendship in the entertainment industry linking the late actor with Shin Goo and himself. He said, "Senior Lee Soon-jae liked to be considerate of others and really enjoyed talking with people," and added, "After senior came teacher Shin Goo, and then me. The three of us often got together on the theater side to talk," suggesting the close bond of the "flower grandpas."
The most regrettable thing was the sudden parting. Park Geun-hyung said, "One day he suddenly felt unwell and went to the hospital, and he passed away without us being able to see him. I am so upset and my heart aches that I could not see his face at the end," expressing his sorrow at not being able to escort the deceased on his final journey.
