Youngjay, leader of dance crew Just Jerk, who also won on 'Street Man Fighter', is getting married.
On the 27th, a media outlet reported that Youngjay will get married on Feb. 22 in a location in Seoul. In relation to this, Youngjay did not express a separate position.
However, Youngjay already posted wedding pictorial photos taken with his girlfriend, who became his fiancée, on his personal social media on Jan. 23. The marriage has not only become a fait accompli but he has also informed those around him of the process of preparing for the wedding.
In particular, Youngjay's fiancée, Ms. B, has drawn attention after being revealed to be a crew member who was previously embroiled in allegations of dating a minor with him. In fact, Youngjay's fiancée was born in 2005, 13 years younger than Youngjay, who was born in 1992. The two met and formed their bond within Just Jerk, with Youngjay as leader and the other as a crew member, in a mentor-and-student-like relationship.
Regarding Ms. B, Youngjay was also embroiled in allegations of dating a minor in April last year. At that time, following an internet user exposé, an allegation spread on social media and online communities that a famous dance crew leader A, who had appeared on the Mnet entertainment program 'Street Man Fighter' (abbreviated 'Smanpa'), was involved in a personal scandal with an underage team member, causing many team members to withdraw and sparking controversy. Later, A was identified as Youngjay, leader of Just Jerk. There was even indiscriminate exposure claiming that Youngjay's lover, Ms. B, had undergone an abortion, adding to the shock.
However, Youngjay denied the allegations in an interview with a media outlet shortly after the controversy, saying, "There are many parts that are not true." He said it was true that he is currently in a relationship with Ms. B, but that their relationship has continued seriously with the permission of her guardian parents after she became an adult. He also denied that the conflict with the members who left Just Jerk was due to Ms. B.
Afterwards, there are members who actually left Just Jerk and work as instructors at an academy, while other core members such as Jaeho are still known to remain in Just Jerk and continue activities.
Youngjay is the leader of Just Jerk, which in 2016 became the first Korean team to win the world-renowned hip-hop dance competition Body Rock. Just Jerk also drew more attention by winning the final on 'Smanpa'.
However, Youngjay was later embroiled in various controversies. In addition to allegations of dating a minor with his fiancée, he was also entangled last year in accusations of evading military service, causing him embarrassment. Regarding the military service evasion allegation, he was acquitted on the 17th.
