'Extreme 84' Kian84 collapsed from muscle cramps.
On the 28th, the MBC variety show 'Extreme 84' depicted Kian84, who competed in the Médoc Marathon in France, stopping as his physical condition progressively worsened.
On that day Kian84 tried to ignore the festival atmosphere of wine, music and performances that continued from the moment of the start and raised his pace for the record.
Unable to see the beautiful scenery of Bordeaux and running like a racehorse staring at the ground, Kian84 said, "To be honest, I was embarrassed during Africa. Both the ranking and so on. My ranking was in the lower middle. 'Is this all I can run?'" as he spoke about his feelings during the Africa marathon.
Above all, Kian84 said, "That day (the Médoc Marathon) I regretted that I hadn't not drunk the day before. To be honest, I don't regret not enjoying it, but I regretted that I drank. Rather," expressing regret and self-blame.
While Kwon Hwa Woon was enjoying the Médoc Marathon, Kian84 passed the 25 km mark and continued to focus on running. But after a while, as the worsening heat caused dehydration and thirst, Kian84 said, "My body is shutting down. It shouldn't be like this already."
Eventually stopping, Kian84 searched for water but suffered when only wine drinking stations appeared in succession. In an interview he said, "Hangover, dizzy. The sun is hot. The sky is spinning. It's hell. But there they are handing out alcohol again. I couldn't even stand to look at wine," he said.
After a battle with burning thirst Kian84 drank water and regained strength to run again, but this time his legs acted up. About legs that would not follow at all he said, "I'm already exhausted but it's always like this even though I train that much."
Finally, muscle cramps compounded his trouble and he faced a crisis. Kian84 said, "The cramp is coming for the first time. Regardless of records I felt I wasn't sure I could even finish," blaming himself again for drinking the day before in his worst condition.
He endured the muscle cramps and ran again, but Kian84 eventually collapsed at the 31 km mark.<
