Kang Hanna and Kim Min-kyu experience a miraculous love beyond emails.
The Soundtrack That Doesn't Exist, which will air today on the 28th (Sun) at 10:50 p.m., directed by Goh Seung-jun and written by Yoo So-won, is a work that tells the love story of a man and a woman who seep into each other's hearts through a fictional piece of music within a novel.
Kang Hanna delicately portrays Jeong Ji-eum, a former novelist who, through an email that arrived by chance, confronts past wounds she did not know she had and begins to feel excitement again. Park Yu-shin, played by Kim Min-kyu, is an adventurous soul who, after reading the novel, creates music himself and sends it to her; Kim Min-kyu's characteristic clear gaze and voice will further raise the drama's immersion.
Released stills show Ji-eum (played by Kang Hanna) holding open the book she wrote and Yu-shin (played by Kim Min-kyu) playing guitar and showing curiosity about music. Yu-shin becomes enchanted by the love in Ji-eum's novel and searches for the song that appears in the story, only to learn that it is a fictional piece of music that does not exist in the world. In the end, he composes the music himself and begins sending emails to Ji-eum, and the two share their hearts through only writing and music without knowing each other's faces.
What began as a simple book report in emails soon expands into conversations about everything in the world, and Ji-eum and Yu-shin move from deep empathy to certainty about love. The process of the two progressing from emails to video calls and finally to meeting in person promises to deliver feelings full of excitement to viewers.
