Behind-the-scenes photos of the first entry in MBC's 2026 drama, "Judge Lee Han-young," have been released.
The new MBC Friday-Saturday drama "Judge Lee Han-young," scheduled to premiere on Jan. 2, 2026 (Fri) (planning by Jang Jae-hoon / screenplay by Kim Kwang-min / directed by Lee Jae-jin, Park Mi-yeon / produced by OAH Story, Slingshot Studio), is a revenge drama about justice in which Lee Han-young, a corrupt judge who lived as a slave to a giant law firm, returns to 10 years ago and, through a new choice, punishes great evil.
With a solid cast including Jisung, Park Heesoon and Won Jina, and directors Lee Jae-jin and Park Mi-yeon and writer Kim Kwang-min—who have shown stylish directing through "The Banker," "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "Motel California"—joining forces, expectations for the premiere are high. Meanwhile, on the 28th (today), the "Judge Lee Han-young" side released behind-the-scenes stills bursting with passion, further raising interest in the drama.
Jisung, who plays Lee Han-young, captivates attention with a look of complete immersion in the role. Standing seriously in front of the camera, he concentrates on the production team's directions and pours his passion and energy into creating the best scenes. Checking optimal blocking and syncing with the staff, his demeanor shows that he has fully transformed into Lee Han-young.
Park Heesoon, despite the cold weather, also showed affection for the work by raising the completion level of "Judge Lee Han-young" through meticulous monitoring. In another still where he sits with his legs crossed, he emits a charismatic gaze as if possessed by the character, delivering an intense sense of immersion. Director Lee Jae-jin said this was a happy shoot in which the actors and staff all participated passionately, adding that the atmosphere was warm and friendly.
The youngest, Won Jina, is leading the set atmosphere with an appearance as if she had swallowed Kim Jin-a. In another still shot against a chroma key background, she shows a subtle smile and a cute side that contrasts with the realistic and tough aspects of the Kim Jin-a role. Wondering how Won Jina's chameleon-like aspects of changing her face to match the character's situation and emotions will be revealed in the drama, Won Jina said the set was full of laughter because of the good chemistry with her seniors and added that it was an enjoyable shoot because they comfortably accepted any acting and provided sensible points that made scenes more fun, making viewers look forward to the broadcast even more.
The production team of "Judge Lee Han-young" said that Jisung, Park Heesoon and Won Jina, among many cast members, actively participated in filming and that because the shoot was full of energy, they are confident it will lead to good results, and they asked for much interest in the broadcast that contains the hard work of the actors and production staff.
