My Little Old Boy actor Park Geun-hyung revealed his poignant longing for his lifelong colleague and eternal "big brother," the late Lee Soon-jae, and disclosed the last request the late man left during his lifetime.
On the 28th, SBS's My Little Old Boy (hereinafter "My Little Old Boy") featured actor Park Geun-hyung, the eternal youngest and romantic of the "Flower Grandpas," as a special MC.
Park Geun-hyung mentioned the news of Lee Soon-jae, who died last November, and said, "My heart hurts so much because we lived and worked together for decades. All the juniors are thinking about what the senior did for them and missing him."
Park Geun-hyung especially recalled his close friendship with Shin Goo and Lee Soon-jae, who were well-known close friends in the entertainment industry and beloved as "Grandpas over Flowers." He said, "Senior Lee Soon-jae liked to consider others and really enjoyed talking," and "After him was teacher Shin Goo, and after that was me. The three of us often got together for theater," conveying the strong bond among the masters.
But the sudden farewell left deep regret. Park Geun-hyung said, "One day he suddenly felt unwell and went to the hospital, and after that he passed away without me even seeing his face," and expressed sorrow that he could not say goodbye, saying, "I am so disappointed that I could not see his last appearance."
In particular, that day Park Geun-hyung drew attention by revealing a final special order akin to a "will" that the deceased left during his lifetime. He said the deceased had visited Park Geun-hyung's theater during his lifetime and left a weighty request, saying, "From now on you must take charge of the theater world. Please work hard."
