Comedian Cho Sae-ho delivered powerful laughter and emotion up to his final broadcast before leaving 2 Days & 1 Night.
The Dec. 28 broadcast of KBS2 2 Days & 1 Night season 4 was presented as an "year-end hard work settlement Race" held in Sacheon, Goseong and Namhae, South Gyeongsang.
That day Cho Sae-ho fought as a member of the Godingamrae team (Moon Seyoon, Cho Sae-ho, DinDin), but depending on the nail-biting luck-based result he ultimately entered the winter sea. Before entering the water, Cho Sae-ho showed mounting anxiety but kept his promise to viewers by holding hands with Moon Seyoon and DinDin and entering cleanly.
Cho Sae-ho's efforts did not end there. He hard-carried the bedtime luck-based game mission "midnight great escape," which determined everyone's indoor sleeping. When trusted Lee Jun and Moon Seyoon were caught in succession and the team faced the risk of failure, thanks to Cho Sae-ho's efforts the members dramatically escaped within the time limit. After waking, he reinforced his fighting spirit by looking at the sun rising hotly at Boriam.
In the preview shown at the end of the broadcast, the members were depicted embarking on their first trip of the new year as a five-member formation with Cho Sae-ho having left. This trip, set up as the "2026 new year plan manipulation squad," attracted attention because it is the first trip since Cho Sae-ho left all broadcasts and suspended activities amid allegations of involvement with organized crime.
Dressed in stylish suits in front of KBS, the members struggled to keep their new year plans. Under strict surveillance by the production team, it was notable whether they could undermine the staff's plans, and the absence of Cho Sae-ho, who quietly did his part while bringing laughter, remained regrettable.
Meanwhile, Cho Sae-ho was accused of receiving expensive gifts, promoting a franchise operated by a member of an organized crime group, and drinking with a key figure of the largest violent organization in Geochang County, South Gyeongsang, and subsequently left all broadcasts and suspended activities. He apologized, saying, "I want to say that the allegations raised are not true at all. I will use this incident as an opportunity to deeply reflect and will work to greet you again in a more mature form."
