Singer K.WILL drew attention by revealing the practical welfare benefits he enjoys as a director of his agency.
The Dec. 27 broadcast of MBC variety show Omniscient Interfering View (hereafter Omniscient Interfering View) episode 378 featured K.WILL, who debuted 19 years ago, as a panelist, where he appeared and engaged in cheerful talk about his recent activities.
That day K.WILL said he was at the starting point of BigHit, which has grown into one of the leading entertainment agencies in the music industry. He said, "The first artist the company produced was me. After that the company split, and one became BigHit, the other became Starship Entertainment," and explained, "I was the start of BigHit and the start of Starship."
K.WILL went on to say that he is serving as a director at Starship Entertainment. He said, "I became a director last year, and it's been more than a year now," and in response to suspicions that he was a 'figurehead director' he said firmly, "All four major insurances apply. I receive a salary, and the welfare points are considerable."
In particular, K.WILL emphasized that he receives the same welfare as actual employees, saying, "I receive 2 million won annually for personal management expenses, and I get 500,000 won when I buy a mobile phone." When Jun Hyun-moo asked, "I heard they give 2 million won when you get married," K.WILL added with a laugh, "I don't know whether I'll be able to receive it in the future, but it's in the system."
Hearing this, Yang Se-hyung expressed envy, saying, "How stable it must be to receive a fixed monthly salary outside of broadcasting," and empathized.
Meanwhile, K.WILL was born in 1981 and is 43 this year. He is a founding member of Starship Entertainment and continues active work through music activities and YouTube content.<
