Group MONSTA X (MONSTA X) member Jooheon announced a powerful comeback with his first concept photo.
Starship Entertainment released Jooheon's first concept photo for his mini album 2 '光 (INSANITY)' on MONSTA X's official social media on the 26th.
In the released photo, Jooheon transforms into a boxer who looks as if he had just finished a match in the ring, instantly capturing attention. The wounds on his face and the taping wrapped around his fingers conveyed a rough mood, and moments such as him sweating while hitting a sandbag or appearing to be captured drinking water during a match maximized immersion.
In the next released photos, Jooheon wore a red leather jumpsuit and created a chic atmosphere with a variety of expressions, while in the center of the ring he completed an overwhelming presence by looking into the camera with a microphone around his neck. In particular, on the carpet on which the character 光 is drawn, he sensually expressed the point where 'madness' (狂) and 'brightness' (光) intersect, just like the meaning of the album title, in a raw, instinctive way. As such, domestic and international fans are focusing on Jooheon's new transformation and musical synergy to be shown through the title track 'STING (Feat. Muhammad Ali) (hereinafter 'STING').'
Jooheon will release his mini album 2 '光 (INSANITY)' on Jan. 5 and return to the music scene. The album includes a total of seven tracks, including the pre-release song 'Push (Feat. 레이 of IVE) (hereinafter 'Push')' and the title track 'STING,' and following his solo debut album, Jooheon produced all the songs, demonstrating deeper capabilities and once again proving his presence as an all-rounder artist.
Since 'Push,' pre-released on the 22nd, entered charts including the Melon HOT100 and appeared on K-pop top song charts in 15 regions including the U.S. and Japan on iTunes as well as top song charts in five regions, attention is focused on Jooheon's continued activities through this new release.
Jooheon's mini album 2 '光 (INSANITY)' and the title track 'STING' will be released on various online music sites at 6 p.m. on Jan. 5.
