The agency for the group Stray Kids announced the status of legal action against malicious commenters.
On the 27th, the agency JYP Entertainment said through its official social media, "As we have previously announced several times, we are taking strong legal action against acts that infringe on the basic rights of our artists, such as spreading false information and malicious defamation, to protect the rights and interests of our artists, Stray Kids."
It added, "In addition, through a professional monitoring company we have been collecting in real time malicious posts and comment data such as the spread of false information, slander, malicious defamation, and mocking of the artists on domestic and overseas communities and social media, and we have been continuously filing complaints and lawsuits against the authors of malicious posts and comments."
The agency said, "Recently, investigative authorities obtained warrants and have identified the accused and are currently investigating, and through domestic and foreign courts are confirming the identities of defendants who posted malicious posts on overseas platforms," and stressed, "We will continue to closely cooperate with investigative authorities and courts and will actively respond to ensure the perpetrators receive severe punishment. There will be no leniency or settlements in this process."
It added, "We sincerely thank the STAYs who have given great support to Stray Kids. If STAYs have collected evidence related to illegal acts, we ask that you actively report it."
Finally, the agency promised, "We will continue to prioritize our artists and do our best to protect their rights and interests."
