Actor Song Hyekyo confessed to an unexpectedly down-to-earth, middle-aged man's palate.
On the 26th, a video titled "I received this question at the end of the year: Song Hyekyo just laughs when she watches a gag character #BFaceToFaceInterview" was uploaded to the Harper's BAZAAR Korea channel.
That day Song Hyekyo interacted by answering many questions sent by fans directly, and received the question, "I'm curious about the lucky food that cheers you up and relieves stress when you eat it."
Song Hyekyo said, "There are really many, but after a hard shoot I go to eat gopchang. I drink a glass of somaek with gopchang. If I get full while drinking somaek, I slightly switch to soju. I also like frozen pork belly," and added, "I mostly spend time with the staff after shooting. My taste matches well with the staff. We usually get along well, watching each other's cues and leave right when it's over."
In response to the question, "Is there a seasonal food you make sure to eat in winter?" she answered, "I like braised sandfish. Since I was young my mother used to make braised sandfish for me, so when this season comes braised sandfish is the first thing I think of."
Regarding the phrase she says most these days, she said, "I keep saying 'I'm hungry.' Because I shoot almost every day, digestion speeds up," and added, "My favorite snack: I actually don't usually eat snacks. I just eat meals and don't snack at all. Still, if I'm tired I think about them. I like Korean snacks the most."
Asked about one goal for 2026, she expressed hope, saying, "The drama I'm filming now (the Netflix series 'Slowly and intensely') will open in the second half of '26, and since it's a work we filmed very hard for, I hope it will be loved by many people."
