Singer Yu Seong-eun richly filled 2025 with music, broadcasting and strengthened fan communication.
In May Yu Seong-eun signed an exclusive contract with JG Star, home to Im Chang Jung, KOYOTE and Song Gain, and she followed that by actively releasing new songs, appearing on broadcasts and launching a YouTube channel.
In May Yu Seong-eun opened the 2025 music season with "U," an R&B song that candidly expresses feelings for a loved one. In November she showcased her musical skills by participating in the lyrics, composition and featuring on producer and artist Klozer's "Walking On Snow."
Through "U," which highlighted her vocal aesthetics, and "Walking On Snow," which captured her characteristic delicate emotions, Yu Seong-eun once again showed she is more than a singer who sings well — she is a vocalist who knows how to design emotions. In particular, "Walking On Snow," on which Yu Seong-eun directly participated in lyrics, composition and vocals, rose to No. 3 on the TikTok music chart as of the 21st, objectively demonstrating her musical capability and influence.
In December she added shine to her musical activities with a remake of "Beautiful Farewell." Well known as a classic by Kim Gunmo, "Beautiful Farewell" is a song familiar to many, making a new interpretation a daunting task. Yu Seong-eun preserved the original's lyricism and lingering feeling while breathing new life into the song with her distinctive K-soul and deeper emotional expression.
As a result, Yu Seong-eun's version of "Beautiful Farewell" ranked No. 13 on Genie's latest release chart (1 week) and No. 28 on Melon HOP100 (30 days) the day after its release on the 10th. The public also responded enthusiastically with comments such as "a perfect remake that makes you forget the original," "she surpasses just being a good singer — the best remake of the year," and "Yu Seong-eun's soul should be known worldwide."
Yu Seong-eun also formed the group Son I Ji Yu with Son Seung-yeon, Lee Ye-jun and Ji Se-hee, appearing on various music shows and proving her reputation as a "vocal queen." In group activities as well as solo work, Yu Seong-eun showcased a rich musical spectrum with perfect harmony and a voice that blends in anywhere.
