Earlier, the Lee Sang-in family had returned to live in Miryang in 2019 and had been living as a weekend couple for six years. Lee Sang-in's wife was raising three sons alone, and her body and mind were exhausted, showing signs of depression that provoked sympathy.
Dr. Oh Eun-young advised, "I hope she receives treatment for depression, and I don't think being a weekend couple is a good idea. She should also get parenting help. She needs to find a way to get a helping hand," and asked about returning to the city.
Lee Sang-in declared, "I'm willing to do anything. Just the fact that my wife decided to move down is amazing and I'm very grateful," and added, "As for me and the children, whether I reduce my work or relocate, I'll find a new hopeful path."
However, the Lee Sang-in family was still living in the countryside in Miryang. Regarding this, Lee Sang-in's wife said, "It's not that we couldn't leave; Miryang is the place we chose again."
She went on to explain the reason, "Above all, if the eldest suddenly found himself in an unfamiliar environment, the familiarity he had built here and his interest in friends would likely collapse," and Lee Sang-in added, "I secretly felt grateful to my wife, and enduring this seemed like a good choice for the children. So we made the final decision."
