On the 24th, a day before Christmas, Seo Taiji shared an update on his whereabouts for the first time in a year. He said there was no comeback news and reflected on 2025, a year filled with small everyday moments, communicating with fans.
The biggest part of Seo Taiji's 2025 was his daughter. Seo Tae-jin said, "I met Ellie after a very long time. Baby Ellie has now completely become a young lady. Her height is already as tall as mine, but her personality is the same, and she has grown up beautifully. She will already be a college student next year," he said, and "Dami, who was born as a baby because of Ellie's prenatal care, followed Ellie a lot, and now both have grown up and get along like friends, giggling together, so it feels somewhat unreal. The kids keep growing and we seem to be getting older," he said.
Seo Taiji's 'doting father' side can be inferred from his recent posts. Even aside from the daughter-bragging in his 2025 updates, the fact that he has consistently included his daughter's growth in previous updates shows Seo Taiji as a 'dad' and a 'doting father.'
In 2023 he said with a laugh, "Looking back on my 2023, I think there were relatively many small everyday moments. This year I seemed to pay a lot of attention to my family's health. Maybe because I'm getting older, here and there. And aging has affected my looks," then added, "Not long ago Dami brought home a report card that said 'easily distracted and very playful.' Actually, I remember the exact same phrase was written on my report card around third grade in elementary school, so Dami and I burst out laughing (the mother looked at us with disdain)," he said.
In 2022 he said, "2022 seemed to have many unfortunate events for Korea and our planet, such as incidents, accidents and wars," and added, "Personally, the best thing was that the endemic I longed for last year arrived, and Dami finished home school and started going to school. But recently I let my guard down and contracted COVID belatedly, completely losing my sense of smell. I worried a bit that it might be long COVID, but fortunately I recovered slowly. He did not omit talking about his daughter in 2021 either. Seo Taiji said, "2021 felt like an entire year disappeared. I can't believe the pandemic has lasted more than two years," and said, "Last Christmas I firmly believed Dami would soon be able to attend school, but due to the worsening coronavirus, Dami's school closed and disappeared. So we hurriedly found a new school, moved again and were about to enroll, but then the delta variant spread, and we ended up continuing remote classes and that difficult home school."
