Actress Nam Bo-ra's family of 13 siblings surprised viewers with an astonishing "spec update."
On the 26th episode of KBS 2TV Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant, the Nam Bo-ra family appeared in full to hold a sports day, which aired. It was about 20 years since the Nam Bo-ra family all appeared together on a broadcast after their past grants on "Human Theater," prompting delight from viewers.
The broadcast featured father Nam Sang-don, who appeared on variety shows for the first time, and from eldest son Nam Kyung-han to youngest Nam So-ra, all 13 siblings showed up. Nam Kyung-han, Nam Jin-han, Nam Hwi-ho, Nam Da-wit, Nam Kyung-woo, Nam Deok-woo, Nam Young-il, Nam Bo-ra, Nam Ji-na, Nam Se-bin, Nam Se-mi, and Nam So-ra drew attention for having grown up considerably compared with their appearances in the "Human Theater" when they were children. Nam Bo-ra said, "It's really been a long time since we all got together," expressing deep emotion.
Eldest son Nam Kyung-han said he is enrolled in the doctoral program in philosophy at Korea University. He said, "I'm still writing my dissertation," and added, "I'm working hard with the goal of having my thesis reviewed next year."
Actor Nam Se-bin said, "This year I filmed the drama 'Yumi's Cells 3'," and Nam Bo-ra laughed, saying, "She entered OTT before me."
Nam Bo-ra also shared an update about the third sibling, Nam Ji-na. She said, "Ji-na recently received an award at the Yeongdeungpo Police Station," and added, "I heard she prevented a 100 million won loss by stopping a voice-phishing crime." She explained, "She received a check that came from Miryang the day before, which seemed odd, so she reported it, and the person who brought it turned out to be a repeat offender for financial fraud." Hearing this, the youngest siblings exclaimed, "That's amazing," and "She's a patriot."
Responding to this, Nam Kyung-han said, "Ji-na tends to be suspicious by nature," and added, "Bo-ra isn't suspicious, while Ji-na is, so the two of them together would be perfect," drawing more laughter. Ninth sibling Nam Se-mi, who works as a dental hygienist, said she recently invited family members and provided cavity treatment and scaling, attracting attention.
The updates on the 13 siblings, each having grown in their own positions, showed the present lives of the "Human Theater family" that had remained in the public's memory for a long time, leaving a warm aftertaste.
Meanwhile, Nam Bo-ra was born in 1989 and is 36 this year. She is the eldest among 13 siblings, became known through "Human Theater," debuted as an actress, and married a businessman the same age last May; she recently announced her pregnancy, drawing attention.<
