Choi Hwa-jung confessed to the desperate feelings she had while keeping her pet dog "Joon-i" from the brink of death.
On the afternoon of the 25th, a video titled "Choi Hwa-jung's perfect year-end party food she prepared without lifting a finger (Costco recommended items Top 10)" was posted on the YouTube channel "Hello, I'm Choi Hwa-jung."
Choi Hwa-jung said, "I even looked into funeral homes for Joon-i," and recalled, "his condition got so bad that I thought, 'I can't do YouTube anymore,'" mentioning that her pet's existence was her whole life.
The incident happened suddenly. Joon-i fainted on the bed and fell to the floor, and an urgent situation continued, including seeing bloody stool mixed with blood. Choi Hwa-jung immediately went to the emergency room, but detailed tests diagnosed that the numbers for multiple organs, including the heart, were very poor.
Choi Hwa-jung said, "I received a call during filming saying he needed to be moved to a higher-level hospital for surgery. But I was told the chance of survival was 10%." She added, "Instead of leaving him to suffer on a cold bed, I declined the surgery with the thought that I would rather keep him with me," and her eyes welled up.
She recalled the tense time when she braced for the worst, saying, "Because I'm his mother, I thought I had to pull myself together and looked into funeral homes."
Fortunately, Joon-i overcame the crisis and his condition improved. Choi Hwa-jung said with a relieved smile, "Recently he recovered so much that he even had accidents on the floor and got scolded."
