'Actress Han Go-eun revealed the shocking experience of suddenly suffering lower body paralysis in the past and emphasized the importance of health. Attention has returned to the fact that she once had a hard time caring for her father-in-law, adding to the sorrow.'
On the 25th, on Han Go-eun's YouTube channel "Goeun unnie Han Go-eun," a video titled "50-year-old menopausal Han Go-eun: why a U.S. acupuncturist was surprised by her recent health condition" was released. In the video, Han Go-eun met U.S. acupuncturist Nabi Nima and spoke about her recent health concerns as well as the dizzying moments she experienced in the past.
Han Go-eun, who is 50 this year, confessed, "I've been in a lot of pain recently. My inflammation markers rose and I had pyelonephritis for about two weeks." The acupuncturist checked her pulse and diagnosed, "You are under excessive stress. Your body is weak but you are forcing yourself to endure it," adding, "If you don't rest when you should and overdo it, poor blood circulation can cause muscles to tighten easily and lead to functional decline," and advised, "Rest for now."
Hearing this, Han Go-eun confessed the experience of lower body paralysis she had three winters ago. She recalled, "I went to a resort to play with my dog and was playing with it when suddenly there was a 'ttuk' sound in my lower back and I felt myself collapse. I couldn't move at all from that state," and said, "Only my toes moved a little so I felt the nerves were alive, but it hurt so much that I was holding on with my arm strength."
The incident occurred in the dog playground inside a ski resort. Han Go-eun said, "I was so embarrassed that I didn't even think to call 119. But the resort was far from the city, and they said it would take more than 40 minutes for 119 to arrive," and added, "Fortunately, the ski resort's emergency medical staff brought a stretcher and took me away."
Afterwards, she said she was given painkillers at the hospital and received a procedure at a hospital near her home, noting, "On the second day after injuring my back I couldn't move at all, and on the third day I crawled. Then on the sixth day my back miraculously straightened," and said, "I cried a lot then."
In closing, Han Go-eun said, "After going through that, I deeply felt that you must protect your health while you have it," and emphasized, "Don't regret after getting sick; take care of yourself in advance."
Meanwhile, attention is again being paid to the fact that Han Go-eun once had a hard time caring for her father-in-law. In a 2021 broadcast she said, "The biggest event last year was my father-in-law passing away," and disclosed while in tears, "My husband quit his job and cared for his father for six months while he battled liver cancer," At that time, her husband Shin Young-soo also expressed gratitude, saying, "If my wife hadn't been there, my father wouldn't have been able to get through it like this," giving a deep impression.
Fans have sent messages of support to Han Go-eun, who confessed she devoted time to her family and then experienced a health crisis, saying, "I can feel how hard it must have been," "Now please take care of your health first," and "I'm glad you recovered even if it was just now."
Meanwhile, Han Go-eun marked her 30th anniversary since debut this year. She debuted as a model in 1995 and established herself as an actress through works such as the sitcom "LA Arirang" and the film "There Is No Sun," and she continues various activities today.<
