comedian Kim Su-yong revealed the condition of the "attachment jumper" he was wearing when he went into cardiac arrest from acute myocardial infarction.
On the 23rd, a short video titled "The status of Kim Su-yong's attachment jumper whose left sleeve was cut off during an emergency" was posted on the YouTube channel Jo Dongari.
In the video, Kim Su-yong held up a dark-colored jumper and said, "It's not a luxury brand, but still," as he inspected its condition, and showed satisfaction, saying, "You can't tell it was repaired, can you?"
The jumper is the garment Kim Su-yong was wearing when he suddenly collapsed from acute myocardial infarction during YouTube content filming last month and was in cardiac arrest for about 20 minutes. At the time, medical staff cut the jumper's sleeve with scissors for rapid emergency treatment, and in the process one arm of the jumper was severely damaged.
Earlier, on the 14th Kim Su-yong had recounted the situation in detail in a video titled "Decisive moments of Kim Su-yong's 20 minutes of cardiac arrest that were not mentioned on You Quiz." He recalled, "I regained consciousness in the intensive care unit, and as soon as I woke up I asked, 'Where is my jumper?'" and "It was the first, no the second time I'd worn it that day. It was a jumper I really cherished."
He went on, "They cut the sleeve with scissors to insert the IV quickly. When I asked, 'Why are you cutting my clothes?' they said, 'Your clothes are not important right now,'" sharing the episode with the medical staff and eliciting laughter.
This short shows the repaired jumper. Kim Su-yong said, "It's a piece my wife bought me. I also buy clothes at Temu. I asked why she would buy something I don't even need..." showing continued affection. Seeing this, Jee Seokjin reacted, "It's a shame they cut it. This costs more than 1 million won."
Kim Su-yong said, "The right side was cut and ragged, but I had it repaired at the laundry shop in front of my house for 25,000 won," and added, "You can't tell at all," unable to hide his pride. Jee Seokjin also repeatedly exclaimed, "I can't tell where it was cut."
Meanwhile, Kim Su-yong suddenly collapsed during content filming last month in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi, and actor Lim Hyung-joon immediately performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at the scene. Comedian Kim Sook is also reported to have helped by calling 119 and securing the airway, preserving the golden time.
Taken to the hospital, Kim Su-yong was diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction, underwent angioplasty, improved, and was discharged; he is currently recovering his health and returning to daily life.<
