'Radio Star' artist Jadu said she reconciled with a longtime enemy, drawing attention.
On the 25th broadcast of MBC variety show 'Radio Star' (hereinafter 'Ras'), Jadu, appearing for the first time in 10 years, shared her feelings about enjoying a second heyday.
Recently, appearing as contestant No. 50 on 'Sing Again 4' and rising again to the top, Jadu said, "I felt like I debuted again. It feels like a comeback. I have four schedules a day and get called to the east, west, south and north," updating on her current situation.
She added, "When I wasn't very active before, teenagers and people in their 20s watched 'Daehwaga Piryohhae' and wondered why we sang the 'Gag Concert' song," and recalled, "These days kids see a cover and ask, 'Mom, isn't that an AKMU song?' or 'Isn't that a Jannabi song?' They often misunderstood and didn't think it was my song. It's my song. I went around saying I am the original artist," remembering the past.
Especially, Jadu said she dramatically reconciled with an enemy of more than 20 years after appearing on 'Sing Again 4', drawing attention. Kim Gu Ra asked in surprise, "Did you reconcile with Kangdu?" and Jadu replied, "The reconciliation with (Kangdu) was around 'Sugar Man.'"
Jadu, who said she reconciled with people who had been more distant, said, "How should I put it, I didn't much like my former self. I was often ashamed, and my concepts were so strong that my lack—that I couldn't freely express what I wanted to do—was embarrassing. I reconciled with the me who was ashamed of my appearance," she said.
Kim Gu Ra reacted in astonishment, "You talk like a pastor's wife. Is that how you speak?" Jadu said she kept deciding and reversing her decision about applying to 'Sing Again 4' several times. "I thought I would really get a lot of criticism. 'Jadu, why did you appear? What kind of nobody are you?' I was afraid of receiving such criticism. I decided focusing on the purpose of singing again," she explained her reason for appearing.
