Singer MC Mong strongly denied allegations of an affair with Won Hundred chairman Cha Gawon and reiterated he would take a tough stance.
In the early hours of the 25th, MC Mong posted a long message on his social media saying, "Watch what happens with Cha elder's prank."
He said, "The KakaoTalk messages you sent me, the messages you sent that include chairman Cha and artists, someone turned that into a porn-level story like a novel," and emphasized, "They even aired records showing that I sent tens of billions, and I kept silent, but from now on I will sue everyone who talks about military service corruption, affairs and other things that cannot be spoken of."
He added, "Do not beg at the police station, please don't beg even if you die. From now on I will settle the grudge I have endured for 16 years," and drew attention by adding MBLAQ's "It's war" as background music.
Earlier, a media outlet reported the previous day that MC Mong and Cha Gawon had an affair in the past, that the two broke up and MC Mong ended his contractual relationship with Won Hundred. It claimed that during the affair Cha Gawon transferred an amount reaching 12 billion won to MC Mong, and that as a result MC Mong incurred a debt of 12 billion won.
In addition, reported KakaoTalk conversations said to have been exchanged between MC Mong and Cha Gawon included content suggesting Cha Gawon discussed having a child with MC Mong, and even mentioned MC Mong's alleged azoospermia and that Cha Gawon prepared in vitro injection shots for three months, shocking readers.
However, MC Mong refuted these claims as all false on his personal social media. He alleged that Cha Gawon's uncle, Cha Jun-young, visited him and threatened him to hand over Big Planet Made's equity, and in the process handed over conversations that manipulated the relationship between chairman Cha Gawon and his friend.
In this regard, Won Hundred said in an official statement, "The article content and the KakaoTalk conversations were all untrue. They were sent after MC Mong was threatened and manipulated by Cha Jun-young, a relative of chairman Cha Gawon."
It added, "At the time Cha Jun-young threatened MC Mong to force him to sell shares in Big Planet Made to seize management rights, and in this process the manipulated KakaoTalk was passed on," and explained, "We suspect Cha Jun-young provided these KakaoTalk messages to the outlet that reported the story."
It also said, "After MC Mong checked the report he contacted the company to apologize, and we plan to take strong legal action against Cha Jun-young and The Fact Co., which first reported the story," adding, "We promise to respond with a policy of zero tolerance and no leniency against malicious slander and the spreading of false information aimed at artists and management. We earnestly ask that you refrain from groundless speculative reports and defamation."
