Rosé proved the staying power of the global mega hit "APT.", which continued to exert influence this year following last year.
The Black Label said Rosé and Bruno Mars' duet "APT." (APT.) was named Apple Music's song of the year and went on to place No. 1 on Billboard's 2025 "Global 200" and No. 9 on the "Hot 100," respectively. It also said the global content platform TikTok released its "2025 year in music" chart, on which the song ranked No. 1 in the Korea music category and No. 6 in the global music category.
The pre-release single "APT." from Rosé's first full-length album rosie sparked a global phenomenon after its release in October last year with explosive attention; it spent 45 weeks on the Billboard "Hot 100," setting a record for the longest-running K-pop entry, and its music video surpassed 2.2 billion cumulative views on YouTube. "APT.", which swept 2024, continued its record-breaking streak and strong momentum into 2025.
The performance of "APT." also shone on year-end summary charts that take stock of results over the past year. "APT." triumphed on Billboard's 2025 charts, rising to No. 1 on the "Global 200" and No. 9 on the "Hot 100." In addition to being named Apple Music's song of the year, it ranked among the most used songs on the TikTok platform, once again reflecting the global craze.
Through "APT.", Rosé became the first K-pop artist to win the top prize in the song of the year category at one of the four major U.S. popular music awards, the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, leading efforts to bring honor to the country. In addition, the song secured nominations in the song of the year, record of the year and best pop duo/group performance categories at the Grammy Awards, the highest authority in U.S. popular music, marking a historic first for K-pop to be nominated in two main categories.
Meanwhile, Rosé is continuing more active activities, including fulfilling dates on Blackpink's solo concert "DEADLINE" world tour.
