Chef Anh Sung-jae was embroiled in a 'debt controversy' after taking his son's money and not returning it with interest.
On Dec. 24, a video titled 'Santa Sung-jae's Dubai jjondeuk cookie first reveal?! Christmas recipe with mini Belugas' was posted on the YouTube channel 'Chef Anh Sung-jae'.
In the video, Anh Sung-jae invited his daughter Siyoung and son Eungi to make Dubai jjondeuk cookie. His daughter was born in 2014 and his son was born in 2016, and the son drew attention for having eyes similar to Anh Sung-jae.
With Christmas approaching, they talked about gifts they wanted to receive. Anh Eungi said, "I just want to spend happy time with dad," and Anh Sung-jae laughed, saying, "Don't say that, don't set it up for the show."
Anh Eungi said, "There was a time when I put a large sum of 600,000 won on the desk, but dad took it because he was short on cash. And he returned it a few weeks ago but did not give me interest," adding, "But this is natural, so isn't it a bit odd to call it a Christmas present?" Anh Sung-jae ended his debt controversy by saying, "Then neither of you will get a Christmas present," prompting laughter.
Meanwhile, Anh Sung-jae is currently appearing on Netflix's Culinary Class Wars.
