On the 24th at 9:50 p.m., the 2025 KBS 2TV one-act project 'Love: Track' episodes 'A love of one star' (directed by Jung Kwang-soo / written by Lee Eunji) and 'Min-ji Min-ji Min-ji' (directed by Lee Young-seo / written by Choi Yi-kyung) aired, portraying with humor the moments of love where excitement and trembling intersect through contrasting settings of a rating romance on a dating app and a first love from school days.
'A love of one star' began with a disastrous blind date between Lee Kang-min (played by Lee Jun), rated five stars, and Choi Ha-na (played by Bae Yoon-kyung), rated one star. In unexpected situations caused by a dating app error and being trapped in an elevator, the two met and spent unplanned time together, gradually getting to know each other. Kang-min, who had been calculating and prickly, slowly opened his heart to Hana's frank and quirky attitude, and cracks in emotions that could not be explained by ratings began to appear.
After learning that he had received a one-star rating from Hana, a shocked Kang-min hurriedly set out to find her, accompanying her even to an unexpected wallpapering work site and having an honest conversation. Kang-min, who was used to evaluations and numbers, gradually facing sincerity created a gentle flutter, and the ending in which the two captured a love hidden behind ratings posed questions about the essence of love and evoked warm sympathy.
The following episode, 'Min-ji Min-ji Min-ji,' told the story of three youths who share the same name—just Kim Min-ji (played by Kim Hyang-gi), top student Yoon Min-ji (played by Jin Ho-eun), and pretty Song Min-ji (played by Kwon Eun-bin)—capturing innocent first love and moments of growth. The process of investigating the truth around the graffiti in the classroom that read "Min-ji, I like you — Min-ji" created both excitement and tension, vividly calling up the emotional lines unique to school days.
Although the owner of the confession was Kim Min-ji, she, who could not easily reveal her existence hidden behind an ordinary name, felt deep alienation between Yoon Min-ji and Song Min-ji. Kim Min-ji's outcry—"Why am I just Min-ji"—hit the wounds of youth that anyone might have experienced, adding a sense of poignancy. The ending, in which Yoon Min-ji and Kim Min-ji resolved their misunderstanding and confirmed each other's feelings, quietly conveyed that we are each unique beings and left a gentle consolation.
Viewers who watched the broadcast reacted enthusiastically, saying, "Lee Jun and Bae Yoon-kyung look great together," "the director's color palette is so beautiful," "the Min-jis are so cute and fresh," and "my grin didn't leave my face the whole time watching Love: Track."
In this way, 'A love of one star' and 'Min-ji Min-ji Min-ji' intricately portrayed moments of characters approaching love in different ways, completing the dense storytelling characteristic of 'Love: Track,' which traverses various genres.
Meanwhile, the final episodes of the 2025 KBS 2TV one-act project 'Love: Track,' 'Conditions for a love contract' and 'A soundtrack like no other,' will air on the 28th (Sun) at 10:50 p.m.<
