Choo Shin-soo and Ha Won-mi unveiled the house in Korea they recently moved into.
On the 24th, Ha Won-mi's YouTube channel uploaded a video titled "Do you have to work even on Christmas? (Choo Shin-soo: Being a YouTuber husband is tough..)".
That day Ha Won-mi, accompanied by Choo Shin-soo, made kimchi together. She explained, "I drained all the water from the kimchi. So all that's left is to mix it, and I soaked all the red pepper powder for the seasoning. Oppa just needs to grate the radish and onions."
The producer asked, "Have you ever done kimjang like this together?", and Ha Won-mi and Choo Shin-soo answered, "Of course." The producer said, "But I heard that he has never done kimjang in Korea," and Ha Won-mi explained, "Not full kimjang in Korea, but we've made one or two heads of kimchi and sometimes used salted napa cabbage. We did it like this in the U.S. This is the American style."
When he asked, "How many heads today?", they replied, "Twelve heads. In the U.S., when we do kimjang we make about two boxes. One box can contain 10 heads, and with large cabbages it can contain 8 heads," conveying an enormous amount and prompting surprise.
Then the producer mentioned the changed kitchen scenery, saying, "Also, people might not know where this is, right?"
In response, Ha Won-mi said, "This is the house we recently moved into," but added, "If people hear that they'll think we moved because we made a lot of money on YouTube.. We didn't make a lot of money on YouTube," grumbling and causing laughter.
She continued, "We moved because the lease on the previous house ended. But isn't the air nice?", and the producer exclaimed, "It's very nice. It's really quiet." Choo Shin-soo also expressed satisfaction, saying, "The view is nice." Beyond the large picture window, a spacious golf course and city view were visible, creating surprise. The interior also featured high ceilings and a large chandelier.
Meanwhile, Choo Shin-soo and Ha Won-mi married in 2004 and have two sons and a daughter. The couple own a grand residence of about 5,500 pyeong in Texas, and they prepared a residence in Songdo, Incheon for Choo Shin-soo, who played outfield for SSG Landers and, after retiring, is working in the front office. In particular, when Ha Won-mi appeared on MBC's "Radio Star" and was asked about the Korean house, she said, "It's small. It's temporary, about 53 pyeong," revealing an unusual standard and surprising the MCs.
