Singer MC Mong denied an affair with Won Hundred chairman Cha Ga-won and repeatedly explained himself through a TikTok live broadcast.
On the 24th, MC Mong held a live broadcast on his TikTok account.
That day MC Mong said, "I will start by talking about the birth of BPM (Big Planet Made). I created BPM. I started small and gathered artists. The company was built with Ha Sung-woon, Soyou, Huh Gak, Lee Mu-jin, VIVIZ and others," he said.
He said, "There were many difficulties as we ran it. I fell out with the first investor, and the second investor who came in was chairman Cha Ga-won. I knew him artistically before and was acquainted with his family. Then they merged with our company. And chairman Cha Ga-won allegedly held a little over 50% of the shares, I had 23–24%, Park Jang-geun had 21%, and the chairman's uncle was said to have 10%," he explained.
MC Mong claimed, "He was someone who kept making that claim. Still, we grew with the artists. That small company grew in various ways with Won Hundred. As it grew, the company grew to a valuation of several hundred billion won. Many incidents occurred. There was a process to try to take this company away, continuous pressure, mentions of the artists to pressure and threaten, and many demands made of me."
MC Mong said, "He said that since he owned 10%, if my 23–24% and Park Jang-geun's 21% were combined, they could push out Chairman Cha. We suggested owning the company ourselves. I firmly refused that proposal. From then on various rumors circulated. There are always rumors in entertainment: that he is dating Cha Ga-won, that he is something with Cha Ga-won, that Cha Ga-won meets artists, that he doesn't meet them," he revealed.
He said, "Chairman Cha is a baby's mother. She is a baby's mother, and our relationship was inseparable. We fought and argued a lot, but I really supported and cheered for that chairman. But the chairman's uncle's scheming was something I acted to deceive that person. That person constantly tempted me, threatened me, came to my house, threw coffee cups, and slapped me. I endured it. I thought I had to endure," he said.
In particular, MC Mong 공개ed some transaction records and lamented, "These are what I sent to Cha Ga-won. 100 million, 100 million, 100 million, 100 million, 100 million, 50 million, 500 million are listed. Even this alone shows I sent 1.05 billion. I sent my records to the chairman's uncle, and that person mistakenly sent them to a news outlet. Huh? The National Tax Service knows all about it," he complained.
MC Mong said, "But that content was turned around to say I received pocket money from Cha Ga-won. When each of us was really struggling, because I had to secure the funds I needed to save and build the company. I can send all of this," he said.
MC Mong, who said all the reported KakaoTalk messages were fabricated, also said, "And the 12 billion won was from a stock transfer contract. I will organize and leave the company. What I felt while running the company was that the risk of me being MC Mong couldn't be helped. No matter how hard MC Mong works or writes songs, no matter how much I try to prove myself or work hard for the artists, they suffered because of me. That was intolerable. So I decided to leave the company. If I didn't leave, I felt I would rot from the inside," he said.
MC Mong appealed, "So I settled all the stock. And 12 billion won can be paid. It is the remaining difference from the stock transfer contract. If I couldn't pay the 12 billion, then a lawsuit should be filed. No lawsuit is pending. They are proceeding according to that judgment. I accepted it without touching anything. Don't you understand?" he said.
MC Mong again denied the affair, saying, "Chairman Cha and I fought a lot. We differed emotionally. I sided with the entertainers, and that friend was very conservative about the concept of the company. And he is a friend who is devoted to his family. But that friend and I always met with the artists. When the article came out, all the BPM and Won Hundred artists probably laughed already. I hope this kind of slanderous fabrication is not possible in this country."
On why he left Big Planet Made, MC Mong said, "I left because I wanted the company to grow and the artists to develop. I had greed for money and would never have left even to die. This is not sentimental posturing," and said, "And I have the ability to repay 12 billion won. It is the remaining balance from the stock transfer contract. If I couldn't repay 12 billion, a lawsuit should be filed. No lawsuit is pending. The case proceeds accordingly. I accepted it without contest. Do you not understand?"
Finally, MC Mong expressed anger, saying, "I did not make up the sperm story. I deleted the Instagram post because it was vulgar. It is Christmas Eve, Christmas, and I am furious. I turned on the live because I did not want to avoid it. If I hide and evade like before, you people will believe it. You will believe it again. How many times if I remain silent and hide, you will believe it. They call me 'sperm mong,' 'affair mong' and do all sorts of things," he said in anger.
He said, "So please stop. Please," and emphasized, "BPM is something they work hard on. I support Chairman Cha and still do. I still talk with him, and if there are good ideas we discuss them. I also spoke with the outlet that first reported it. We understood each other, and then I will drop the second and third rounds. Our conversation is over. If I was wrong I would have posted it. I will definitely find the person who deliberately created that fake manipulated content," he stressed.
Earlier the previous day a media outlet reported that MC Mong and Cha Ga-won had been in an affair in the past, that when the two broke up MC Mong settled his contract relationship with Won Hundred, and claimed that during the affair Cha Ga-won transferred as much as 12 billion won to MC Mong, leaving MC Mong with 12 billion won in debt.
As evidence supporting this, reported mobile messenger KakaoTalk conversation contents said to have been exchanged between MC Mong and Cha Ga-won were published. Among them were contents suggesting Chairman Cha discussed having a child with MC Mong, and shocking claims that MC Mong mentioned azoospermia and that Chairman Cha prepared for in vitro injections for three months.
However, MC Mong refuted these claims on his personal social media, saying all such contents are not true. He alleged that Cha Ga-won's paternal uncle Cha Joon-young visited him, threatened him to give up shares of Big Planet Made, and during that process handed over conversations that manipulated his relationship with Chairman Cha and a friend.
In this regard, Won Hundred said in an official statement, "The article contents and KakaoTalk conversations were all not true. They were sent after MC Mong was threatened and manipulated by Cha Joon-young, a relative of Cha Ga-won," it said.
It added, "At the time Cha Joon-young threatened MC Mong to force him to sell shares in order to seize management rights of Big Planet Made, and in that process MC Mong's manipulated KakaoTalk was delivered," and explained, "We suspect Cha Joon-young delivered these KakaoTalk contents to the media that reported the story."
It also said, "After confirming the report MC Mong contacted the company to apologize, and we plan to take strong legal action against Cha Joon-young and the original reporting outlet The Fact Co.," adding, "We promise to respond with a zero-tolerance policy and no leniency toward malicious slander and spreading false information directed at our artists and executives. We earnestly request restraint from baseless speculative reporting and defamation."
