Actor Ryeo-un teams up with Don Lee to step onto the global action stage.
On the 24th, OSEN reported that Ryeo-un has confirmed appearance in the Netflix action blockbuster film Taigo alongside Don Lee, Lee Jin-uk and Blackpink member Lisa.
'Taigo' is a work that shares a universe with the global hit series Extraction starring Chris Hemsworth. The mercenary 'Taigo,' who grew up as a war orphan, embarks on a life-risking rescue operation when 'Ria,' whom he regarded as family, is kidnapped by a criminal organization during a critical mission. It presents new characters and an expanded narrative within the existing universe and is expected to aim straight at the hearts of action fans worldwide.
Ryeo-un has established herself as a trusted actor through a variety of works including Doctor Prisoner, Oh! Samgwang Villa!, Through the Darkness, The Secret Romantic Greathouse, Twinkling Watermelon and Namib. In particular, this year she rose as a global star by vividly portraying Park Hu-min, aka Baku, the iron vault leader overflowing with a sense of justice, in the Netflix series Weak Hero Class 2, depicting a coming-of-age youth story. Riding that momentum, she has confirmed appearance in the new drama Death's Flower (working title), and recently has continued her rising trend with a steady stream of advertising offers.
Expectations are rising to see what kind of distinctive presence the next-generation actor Ryeo-un will use to captivate global audiences in 'Taigo.'
Meanwhile, Don Lee takes on the title role Taigo, showing a weighty charisma; Lee Jin-uk transforms into Arman Choi, the head of the criminal organization opposing Taigo. Lisa challenges the screen as Ria, Taigo's friend and a team member who joins the mission. Direction is by director Lee Sang-yong, who led The Outlaws 2 and 3, and action direction is by stunt director Heo Myung-haeng, who created legendary scenes in Korean films.<
