Musical actor Jeon Ho-jun said prosecutors decided not to indict him on allegations that he assaulted his ex-girlfriend.
On the 24th Jeon Ho-jun posted a long message on his personal account saying, "For the past seven months I have had to endure serious misunderstanding and stigma because of claims that were not true. I painfully experienced during that time how a person's daily life can collapse in an instant. During that time I have faithfully participated in legal procedures to reveal the truth, and today I confirmed the result."
Jeon Ho-jun said, "As a result of the investigation, I was the victim of the assault, not the perpetrator, and prosecutors issued a 'nonprosecution disposition' regarding the assault allegations brought against me. At the time I was assaulted with a mobile phone to the head, and the investigation confirmed that I only took the minimum defensive actions to protect myself in the process," he said.
He added, "On the contrary, the other party has been referred to trial on charges including special injury and trespassing, as well as defamation for spreading false information."
Jeon Ho-jun explained, "Through this experience I felt keenly how easily a person's character and life can be damaged when untrue stories are exaggerated or distorted and spread. It was also clearly confirmed throughout the investigation that the various sensational claims circulating about me were not true."
He added, "From now on I want to live my life calmly as an individual, without further controversy or emotional reactions. Now that the facts have been corrected, I hope this matter will also be concluded here."
Meanwhile, Jeon Ho-jun voluntarily withdrew from the original play "The Tonight Show" due to the controversy. He said, "I never imagined that our private matter would become something publicly noticed. In this situation it is actually not easy for me to commit 100% of my body and mind to a performance," and added, "I informed each theater company that cast me that I intend to voluntarily withdraw from the performances I was preparing and asked for their understanding. I will take time to recover and organize my surroundings for the time being," expressing his intention to suspend activities.

Hello. I am Jeon Ho-jun.
For the past seven months I have had to endure serious misunderstanding and stigma because of claims that were not true. I painfully experienced during that time how a person's daily life can collapse in an instant. During that time I have faithfully participated in legal procedures to reveal the truth, and today I confirmed the result.
As a result of the investigation, I was the victim of the assault, not the perpetrator, and prosecutors issued a 'nonprosecution disposition (not a crime)' regarding the assault allegations brought against me. At the time I was assaulted with a mobile phone to the head, and the investigation confirmed that I only took the minimum defensive actions to protect myself in the process. On the contrary, the other party was referred to trial on charges including defamation for spreading false information, special injury and trespassing.
Through this experience I felt keenly how easily a person's character and life can be damaged when untrue stories are exaggerated or distorted and spread. It was also clearly confirmed throughout the investigation that the various sensational claims circulating about me were not true.
Despite everything, I was able to endure this time thanks to my family and friends who believed in me, and those who quietly supported me. I sincerely thank them.
From now on I want to live my life calmly as an individual, without further controversy or emotional reactions. Now that the facts have been corrected, I hope this matter will also be concluded here.
Thank you.<
