Actor Ahn Bo-hyun practiced a meaningful act of sharing and added warmth.
Ahn Bo-hyun donated 100 million won to Community Chest of Korea (Community Chest) for the year-end. The donated funds will be used for the Korea Blindness Prevention Foundation's blindness prevention project for low-income households' children and adolescents, and in particular will focus on helping children regain healthy vision and face a brighter world by supporting surgery costs for children suffering vision loss from pediatric cataracts, retinal diseases, and rehabilitation treatment for low-vision children.
Delivered ahead of Christmas, Ahn Bo-hyun's donation is expected to be a warm gift of hope for children who had hesitated to receive treatment due to financial difficulties. Ahn Bo-hyun's good deeds are all the more meaningful because they have continued for several years rather than being a one-time act. Following his donation of 3,000 bottles of hand sanitizer prepared as a coronavirus overcoming campaign to childcare institutions and welfare facilities during the spread of COVID-19 in 2020, he continued sharing by delivering sanitary pads worth 50 million won in 2022 for women in vulnerable groups.
Through this donation, Ahn Bo-hyun joined the Community Chest's high-net-worth individual donors group, "Honor Society," as member No. 3,800. Because Ahn Bo-hyun has been sending positive influence through sincere actions both in donations and his acting activities, anticipation for his future activities is rising even further.
Meanwhile, Ahn Bo-hyun recently earned recognition for his solid acting in the film "Pretty Crazy," winning the Best New Actor award at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards, and is set to appear in tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama "Spring Fever," which premieres on Jan. 5 next year.
