Additional accusations have surfaced against comedian Park Narae, who halted activities amid allegations of abusing managers, claiming she routinely shifted not only the preparation of TV props but even the support work for private parties onto her managers.
The YouTube channel "Entertainment President Lee Jin-ho" on the 22nd released a video titled "Shocking exclusive! Why did Park Narae set a 5 billion won maximum mortgage? Manager's revelations, the reason a life was saved," presenting indications that there was excessive labor by managers in the operation of the "Narae Bar," which Park Narae enjoys with acquaintances, and in the process of preparing food shown when she appeared on the variety show I Live Alone.
Lee Jin-ho said he interviewed a former manager of Park Narae, saying, "When the Narae Bar opened, the managers were extremely busy," and added, "They had to go to the fish market, and depending on the actors or celebrities, they changed the lighting a lot." He continued, "Depending on the food decided for that day, they even went to Gwacheon or as far as Gangwon-do to pick things up."
Lee Jin-ho said managers had to stay on standby even while Narae Bar parties were underway. He said, "When a lot of alcohol was consumed and they ran out, a manager on standby would pour and hand it over directly," adding, "In the case of wine, they even chilled it before serving. They had to provide all the glasses separately. It was all the managers' job."
In addition, Lee Jin-ho claimed that only after putting attendees into taxis to send them home and finishing the cleanup of the house where the party took place could the managers complete their work.
There were also suspicions that many scenes in MBC's I Live Alone featuring Park Narae were largely made possible by managers' labor. Citing a scene where Park Narae gives a lunch box to fellow entertainer Kian84, Lee relayed the allegation that it was actually the managers who made the lunch box.
He also pointed out that the much-talked-about segment of frying holiday jeon on the broadcast was done with managers working alongside her for two days and one night, and during the kimchi-making special, managers, out of sight, ground the sweet rice paste and purchased all the ingredients, underscoring the wide gap between what aired and the actual preparation process.
