Actor Park Jeongmin, Kim Eui-sung and Lim Hyeong-jun engaged in a fiery acting battle on "The Castle of Acting."
Park Jeongmin appeared in episode 2 of the VIVO TV pilot content "The Castle of Acting," released at 6 p.m. on the 22nd, and delivered method-level acting with Kim Eui-sung and Lim Hyeong-jun, causing subscribers to become overly immersed.
In episode 2 of Kim Eui-sung and Lim Hyeong-jun's mockumentary (fake documentary) variety show "The Castle of Acting," the appearance of a Hollywood casting director led to a scene in which Park Jeongmin reversed his "announcement to stop acting," and the interrogation-style acting battle between Kim Eui-sung and Lim Hyeong-jun provided entertainment. Park Jeongmin, who suddenly appeared at the event where Kim Eui-sung was introducing the casting director to Lim Hyeong-jun, added to the immersion with performances that blurred reality and fiction, including sharing his recent activities after announcing a hiatus from acting.
After the three met the casting director, who said he was looking for a Korean actor to play a villain alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothée Chalamet, Park Jeongmin drew laughs by refusing to take his eyes off the director. When the director mentioned a casting lineup including Hyunbin, Ha Jung-woo, Park Bo Gum and Park Jeongmin, Kim Eui-sung added to the interest by saying, "Jeongmin decided not to act for the time being," embarrassing Park Jeongmin.
Park Jeongmin then launched into sabotage to secure the role, creating a strange psychological battle with Kim Eui-sung and Lim Hyeong-jun that brought a thrilling tension. Whenever famous actors were mentioned, Park Jeongmin nitpicked, and when Park Bo Gum was listed in the casting lineup he even said, "Doesn't Park Bo Gum's image overlap with Timothée Chalamet?" delivering an off-base remark that shocked Kim Eui-sung and Lim Hyeong-jun.
Park Jeongmin confidently delivered a twist as if he had never announced a hiatus from acting, saying, "Overseas, I never said anything like that (about stopping acting). If you watch a film like "Smuggling," I'm a villain specialist." In response, Kim Eui-sung urged him to perform a "annoyed" act, saying, "Try doing an annoyed scene once," and Lim Hyeong-jun chimed in, "(Jeongmin) expresses annoyance very well," raising the mood. Park Jeongmin fired back, "Are all seniors the same?" taking control of the set and captivating attention with a performance that made it hard to tell fiction from reality until the end.
The mockumentary (fake documentary) variety show "The Castle of Acting," which highlighted the acting feats of Park Jeongmin, Kim Eui-sung and Lim Hyeong-jun, is a program planned, directed, written and starring Lim Hyeong-jun.
