Group B1A4 is leaving WM Entertainment Co., where they have been for 14 years.
WM Entertainment Co. said on the 23rd, "After in-depth discussions with B1A4, we have agreed to terminate the exclusive contract."
The agency said, "We sincerely thank the B1A4 members who have been with our company for the past 14 years based on trust," and "Although the exclusive contract with our company will end, since we have maintained a deep relationship over a long time, our company will wholeheartedly support B1A4 so they can make a greater leap at a new home going forward."
It added, "We will continue collaborative work so that our company and B1A4 can create synergy, and we will maintain a business cooperation relationship by strengthening overseas activities through RBW Japan," and "Beyond a simple singer-agency relationship, B1A4, who for 14 years have been artists representing WM and reliable companions and good colleagues, will be able to fully demonstrate their abilities and take on challenges, and our WM employees will support and bless the members' futures."
Meanwhile, B1A4 debuted in 2011 as a five-member group and released hit songs such as "What's This," "Goodnight, Sleep Well," and "Lonely." After Jinyoung and Baro left, they continued as a three-member group of Shinwoo, Sandeul and Gongchan.
